A Stellar Prospectus
Our Story
Founded in 2023 and based in Houston, A Stellar Education Project (ASEP) is committed to advancing education reform by empowering the individuals at the heart of the system—our educators. We believe that teachers are not only essential to student success but are also community leaders and vital agents of societal change.
Since our inception, ASEP has partnered with local education agencies across the Greater Houston area to elevate the role of teachers and reestablish their influence in shaping thriving communities. In the summer of 2023, ASEP conducted outreach to multiple Houston-area school districts to better understand how they track teacher retention, manage recruitment, and address teacher attrition. The findings from this initiative directly informed the formalization of our mission and shaped our strategic direction moving forward.
Guided by the lived experiences of America’s working-class educators, ASEP continues to work toward reshaping public perceptions of education. Our efforts are grounded in the belief that meaningful and lasting reform begins by listening to—and investing in—those who serve on the front lines of learning every day.
